KeymasterSo, after a bit of a surprise earlier I started to dig a little on details about naconline.co.uk and just got started with the Nominet registration, followed the crumbs to a whois request and, it came as little surprise, that the name is registered to…
Domain name:
naconline.co.ukRegistrant:
NAC (Domestic Appliances) LtdRegistrant type:
UK Limited Company, (Company number: 7531907)Registrant’s address:
1st Floor, 6 Benton Office Park

Expiry date: 18-Mar-2017
Last updated: 18-Mar-2015So I then Googled the company registration and up pops this…
Official Name
FINDMYENGINEER.CO.UK LTD
Company Number
7531907
SIC Code
82990 – Other business support service activities n.e.c.
Date of Incorporation
16/02/2011
Company Type
Private Limited CompanyBTW, the naconline site redirects to nationalappliancecare.co.uk for some pages.
That aside, I know it’s illegal to misrepresent a company so let’s say, for example, that I had UK Whitegoods Limited being billed as UKW Ltd, that’s bad but liable to get a rap on the knuckles from Companies House and told to fix it. Fix it, no problem.
But, if say I said that it was a different business entirely yet used the same company registration number well, that’s bad. Very bad.
If I also chose to do this to avoid paying or being VAT registered or, Lord forbid, try to dupe HMRC into thinking that the business shouldn’t be VAT registered… well, let’s just say, I’d expect the hot coals of the HMRC torture chamber to be not too far away. That is, after I’d passed through he fiery hell of a court.
Just saying. 😉
