Just so you know…
If you have a PayPal account and you’re set up as a business on there then you can use a new, free service, to take credit card payments in people’s home assuming of course that you can access the internet of course. TBH though mobile terminals are the same, you have to have access to 3G or GPRS or they won’t work.
I guess however you could call back to base and get them to process the payment as well if you have someone around to do it.
It’s a virtual terminal and, while the charges are a bit sore at 4.4{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for up to £1500 per month transaction value (drops to 3.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} after that) you don’t have the cost of at least £20 a month to the likes of PROTX plus the Streamline or whatever stuff to deal with. It’s just simple.
Best of all though it’s at the right price to have, free. 😉
It seems fine for low volume and would allow you to take card payments if you don’t do too many but, if you do a lot, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
Hope it helps someone.
