ParticipantHi Guys. I have an Indesit WIDL 126 which the lights 1 2 and 4 accross the top are flashing occasionally. This I believe gives a fault code that suggests problems with the Heater TOC or fan motor on the dryer. THe problem is only happening maybe every 6 or 7 wash programmes, VERY FRUSTRATING as you can imagine! As the drier is not being used at the time only the washing machine and the drier appears to be working fine, does anyone have any suggestions as to other possibilities, i.e. a main board problem or do you think it is likely to be as suggested the heater TOC or fan motor. Problem is, this thing can be washing for nearly two days solid on test and doesnt bring up the fault…. GRRRRR>!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried poking it with a wooden stick? Taking all necessary precautions of course!

Ive had a few on these where the wash heater rubs against the bracket inside and to earth.. Check all thermistors should be around 24-44 when cold. Pcbs on these are common too.

Mike.To be honest! as with most Indesits, I would prefer to hit it with a big stick…!

Ive have a couple of these that, because of the lengthy wires to the thermistor, the wires have bared and have shorted on the screws inside the chassis or the wires have been broken as they catch on other parts inside the chassis of the machine.

Thanks Allsorts.. I will have a look at the harness. Strangely enough, I have just disconected the thermistor to see if that brings up a fault on the wash cycle and clearly it does so I suspect this is the intermittent problem. Thanks for your input.. Andystu
