KeymasterNow then I have had the pump out stripped and cleaned it nothing found blocking the impeller or any of the pipes , what else could it be and can I repair or replace the faulty part or parts , by the way is that an air pressure switch that as the small bore pipe attached to it, sits clipped to the top side panel ? could this be faulty ? thanks Gaz

F05 certainly refers to a pressure switch related problem, which is the part you have mentioned gaz.
I don’t have the tech info here at home to help you with the part information unfortunately, someone else may, if not I’ll get back to you on Monday. 😀

Thanks for that Dave ,I ran the machine tonight on program 4 and it ran ok right up untill near the end and the F05 came up! thought I had it sorted ! it all so dumped all the water and started to spin . so I think theres more to this than a blocked pump . any way its late and the Newcastle brown needed some help ! I shall be chuffed if you can help Monday thanks Dave ……………….. Gaz

Gaz,
It’s not certain the fault is caused by the Pressure Switch or the connections from it to the Control Module. Also there are 3 different Pressure switches fitted to this model, so we would need the full model and the serial number first.
Do check that the drain pipe outlet is not restricted first 😉 On occasions getting an F05 error warning means the ‘drain out period has elapsed’ and therefore the machine goes into error. In fact the machine should drain from full to empty in less than 60 secs, if it takes longer it could be restricted 🙄
Pressure switches do indeed go faulty though, so it could be that?

Thanks Martin,
but how do I check that the one I have is inop ?
Also would it make any difference if the pump filter is missing ,it is part of the bung with two legs and a donut type ring fitted to it ,this part or bits where gave to me today by my darling 🙁 ???????October 24, 2004 at 5:38 pm #118637Penguin45
ParticipantThe ring on the end of the two legs acts as the inlet orifice for the drain pump. The machine will NOT pump without it being fitted as the pump is effectively open sided, so no pressure will be generated.
If the filter is actually broken it can be replaced as a spare part (IIRC) rather than the entire pump assembly. DC should be able to advise on Monday.

Penguin45,
I am not being funny but yer know thats just what I thought !
I was not aware that it was missing as I had no reason ever to look inside the filter housing before and did not no that it should be there as it had snapped clean from the bung ,But looking at the pump impeller it did not seem to be at all high tech! I shall replace the filter bung and see what happerns .place yer bets lads !!!!!! cheers GazOctober 26, 2004 at 8:58 pm #118639admin
