Help needed please.
Top oven power light comes on temperature light only comes on at 190 degrees for a few seconds goes off .cooling fan not coming on either.replaced thermal cut in and thermal cut out .with no luck.could it be oven thermostat?

does sound like a stat problem but check a few things first

the stat is clipped on the end of a switch behind the knob. they can fall off and twist round

look in the oven and find the sensor ( slim silver probe). it should be clipped securely but if they come loose and fall on the element it can cause it to cut out very early and most likely wreck its calibration

Thanks for your response.The grill works fine cooling fan comes on with grill in use.the grill was left on recently with door closed by accident since then top oven not worked.what stat do you think it could be?your advice will be much appreciated

the switch part is at the back of the knob and the tube is fed through to the grill cavity and clipped to the wall somewhere
