** Apologies for apparently managing to post this on the dishwashers forum first time… **
Hello,
I’m not a regular here but it looks like the right place to get advice.
Our Indesit 1130 (of unknown vintage – was given to us used in 2001) is having problems draining but has been generally fine until recently. It stops in the middle of a rinse/drain stage and does not fully drain. The outlet hose connects into the pipe which drains our kitchen sink. I have disconnected this link and water does sucessfully drain out of the outlet (about half a washing up bowl full) but then stops at the point in the cycle where the problem is. I had a similar problem previously with a large load which resolved when I rinsed and spun the load in two halves.
The manual suggests checking the pump chamber at the front and bottom of the machine. I undid this but only could see a flat surface that the cover screw went into. It wasn’t obvious whether I could take any more parts out and I didn’t want to try too hard in case something broke. Should I delve further?
Any suggestions? If we do need to get a replacement machine, do you guys do recommendations or reviews etc? I want an environmentally friendly option (e.g. energy/water efficient) but good rinsing is also important. I would also consider a washer/dryer combo.
Thanks for any help,
Jen in Southampton.
