A couple of months ago I purchased a new heating element for my dryer. The dryer was plugged into an extension lead, and a couple of weeks ago the extension lead blew a fuse, since then I have no heat in the dryer. The element seems to be still in tact, so I wondered if I could get some advise on what else could be wrong with it.

as with most dryers there are very few components

    no heat can be

    faulty element
    faulty thermostats
    faulty timer or pcb
faulty wiring (burnt out connections etc )
