ParticipantThis washing machine has been making a noise when working recently.
Engineer was called out and changed the 3 plastic sections inside the drum ( forgot what they are called) 😀 .
It worked for one wash but now it has stopped working altogether, the machine switches on but when asked to go into any cycle it revolves for about 1 turn then just stops.
Any ideas?

Are you getting any lights flashing or error messages?

Just a solid red light with a lock symbol next to it , but I think that is the door light.
No error message.September 29, 2012 at 5:36 pm #382039iadom

Model is an IWC6125. 😉
Hard to say really, these machines are such a pile of poop that anything is possible, checking the obvious such as motor brushes, motor wiring connections and all other wiring is the first step, an insulation test on the motor and heater next.

If you look carefully at my post you will see that I have highlighted the letter I by making it bold.
The model number is IWC6125, not 1(one)WC6125. 😉 😉
The electronics on these are dreadful and are usually the source of most faults after the obvious things have been eliminated. 🙁

How much is board roughly?

Board is about £80.00, smart card needed to program it, £16.00, card reader needed to use the card to programme the board £100.
Send it to EMW if you suspect it is faulty, they will test for a small fee or repair it for you.
