My Indesit 562 IX cooker hood recently blew a bulb and the other one would not turn off! I had assumed that the bulb going had surged power to the electronic circuit board and ordered a new one £108. After fitting it, I also fitted Led lamps on the basis that they draw less current and if they failed, the electronics would be better protected?? As I fitted the first lamp, it lit despite it not being turned on, just as the ordinary bulb had done!!! After fitting the second Led lamp, they both glimmered but didn’t go out. They worked with the switch to come on but would not go fully out. So I fitted, one Led and the one remaining old lamp and bingo, they turn off. It would appear that I changed the circuit board unnecessarily as the circuitry is sensitive to the combined resistive load and also, this cooker hood is not fully compatible with Led replacement lamps. Thought I would share this to save others from making the same mistake.

Personally I’d fit 2 original bulbs, these circuit boards were never intended to work with LED lamps.

    had this before

went to a house where the lights in the ceiling were fed with a dimmer. In the off position the light glowed constantly. if I put one old type lamp in the lights work normally.
The reason is there is a small leakage current in the off position. normally this current is soaked up by the lamp filaments as there is not enough current to heat it up

if the lights don’t bother you being on slightly then done worry. this is power you are paying for anyway as with normal lights it still flows you just cant see it
