Indesit 81482 (Leaking)

Hello,

I have an 8KG Indesit washing machine. It has recently started leaking and this has gotten worse over the last few days. The leak seems to be coming from under the machine, it’s near the filter but seems to be above this?

I have checked the door seal, there is a hole in this but I think that is for drainage? Otherwise looks fine and no obvious door leak.

When moving the machine, I also noticed a large amount of concrete/dust on the floor and a large block of concrete that has cracked off with damaged screws/bolts.

Is it likely this breaking off has caused a leak?

Is it even worth repairing this damage? (Can you even get a new concrete block…?)

yes it can leak when this happens and yew you can get a new block but if the tub or block mountings are damaged its scrap

unless its covered by extended guarentees

how old is it ?

It’s 3 years old, I think they only give 1 year warranty on labour? I guess it’s likely scrap then!

yes but they have a parts guarentee

you could ask how much the labour is to find out but the proce of the tub exceeds the labour cost

if you try this make sure its covered by an extended parts warranty as sometimes you have to register appliance to get it
