Indesit/ Ariston and current Hotpoint D/W Flooding

Any comments as to why these series of dishwashers flood into the base of the unit. Hotpoint enginners are advising that it is because customers are using Tablet detergents. I am trying to get an idea of how many of these have the same fault, do you come accross this fault on a regular basis? I have a least one per week. My experience is telling my that this is a design fault, although I have found that machines connected to the sink trap have “backfilled” and over-filled.
The Hotpoints now ,are re-badged Indesits, shame really.
