    Hi All

For those of you who have the indesit service manual for W,WD 113UK range etc, it refers to a hardware key to be pluged in to run a test cycle.

Ive played around with this and found If you actually short out pins 4&5 (pin one being the top pin of the Hardware key socket located at bottom left of machine looking from back) the machine goes through the autotest routine as stated in the manual. Firstly turn the selector switch to one of the reset postions and wait 5″ and wait for usual reset flicker (if you even get that of course 😆 )

Door locks, switch moves to postion 0, (12hr if the machine has a delay, programme 1 if the machine does not have delay) fills through each inlet valve, heats to 30 degrees, drum movement both directions , moves selector switch forward nine times unloads and spins. The switch then commences to one of the reset postions. The test can be stopped by turning the timer switch to one of the rest postions. As the manual says only run this if the machine gives no error codes 😕

    Hope this helps

    Hi tubs
what you are doing is putting vcc to the test pin
from the top the pins are rx,tx,gnd, vcc and test.
rx and tx is used to connect to pc
the switch on the test plug puts vcc to test
I have made 6 boxes for local engineers but what you are doing will work ok
