Indesit BAN134 fridge freezer not working

I have an Indesit BAN134 fridge freezer. It stopped working, in that the freezer warmed up, followed by the fridge.

Turning it off for 48 hours and then turning back on didn’t fix – the light still comes on in the fridge and there’s a fan sound, but that’s it. The compressor and grill on the back don’t seem to be getting terribly warm.

Is there something reasonably cheap I can try replacing as a speculative fix, like a thermostat, or should I just wash my hands of it?

There’s nothing I could see that was a cheap and speculative thing to be trying I’m afraid.

Could be any number of things.
