ParticipantIm after a bearing kit for a WD12XUK. Masterpart and Home Spares are both out of stock and Indesit are saying there are 2 sizes 26mm and 22mm and they are double the price. Can anyone enlighten me.

to find out which size of bearings you need you will need to get the drum pulley off, not easy if it is bolted on with a round headed hex bolt, and measure the diameter if the shaft. other posters on this site may be able to tell you. if your machine has an external spyder its a tricky job, if internal spyder it’s even trickier!!!!

If you give the edge of the torx pulley bolt a couple of good whacks with a cold chisel, you will find the it will come of no bother at all i’ve never broken a Torx bit since a started doing this.

There are 2 sizes of bearings and seals. To identify which kit you need, remove the pulley and measure the shaft diameter at the outer bearing. It will be either 26mm or 22mm.
If 26mm use bearing seal part no. 082696. The spider is fitted with 6205 and 6206 bearings. Cheapest way to buy these together is BRG6091 from Connect (AEG kit; fits 560,633,2060 etc) and use the 082696 seal. Discard the AEG seal.
If 22mm, use bearing seal part no. 096186. This spider uses 6204 and 6205 bearings. Cheapest way is the Hotpoint kit, fits all machines pre – WMA – eg: 95, WM etc. Fit the 096186 seal and discard the Hotpoint one.HTH,
Steve.
