    Hi all
    Have customer with above and freezer defrosts itself when it likes. Have switched off and on and heard gas valve click in and out.Compressor runs occasionaly but only seems to cool fridge. Freezer has previously frosted up and also freezer control knob is missing on front panel and customer has been using kebab skewer to operate variable resistor which is now loose and when it is tapped the fridge interior light goes off. Apparently indesit have been to it once to replace the freezer control knob (rhs).
    How much is a new knob and module and is it likely to cure the fault. Or is there usually sensor work as well. S/No 110170276

    The PCB is £43.56 and the knob £2.50, both list price ex VAT.

    There are a couple of thermistors as well shown on the diagram but no part numbers 😕

    By the sounds of this unit it’s been well abused, best left well alone IMO.

    Yes, thanks Dave. Could end up out of pocket if found to be thermistor gone in the first place on top of all this and they are not available.
