On basic home laundry skills you won’t see much over £21k even on the top pay scale, the scale is based on product skills and what they believe your competence is. 4 levels, basic engineer, skilled, senior and technician. Then there is skills , basic is WM/WD,TD & DW then there is more money when you do cookers or refrigeration and gas. I saw the pay sheet years ago I don’t think its changed much apart from rises. top line for tech with all skills as around £26k
As for doing more than 6 a day it comes with time and experience on the product. Yes its a lot of drums these days but that’s the way it is and its only going to get worse. The v2 are fading out and your seeing lots of 2010 onwards machines with bearings all welded tanks, being a subbie I only get paid for what I complete so Iv got to watch for what’s coming in and make sure Iv got drums. Holding a decent stock my self these days. Give it 12 months and you will get used to the v2 and v1 calls. Don’t get into the habit as seeing bearings as a bad call as once you have that mindset it’s all over and you may as well leave, to many guys decide what they are to do and not do before leaving there house in the morning.
Work is work, bearings, door handles, seals makes no difference to me its all work and money, just get it done and move on.
