Indesit Cooker Hood H361FIX Vibration and electrical fault

I’ve had an Indesit Cooker Hood – H361FIX – for several months, it’s generally run with a vibration, even more so on the high speed. Tonight the high speed was reluctant to start and would only run intermittently. On inspection all the electrical contacts within the front mounted switch are live and on checking why the lights would not work, both filaments have been damaged due to the vibration.

Has anyone any ideas why the high speed is intermittent when running and how do I resolve the vibrations in the fan unit.
