Indesit d/w IDL 715

Just a query on the purpose of the device clipped next to the dispenser-the one attached by two black wires to the programme module.Is it a safety stat,why do we get a new one c/w with new module – do they go faulty and if they do what symptoms/fault codes do we get.

It is the NTC or temp sensor, this module is very prone to failure but most varients are quite cheap, comes complete with new ntc attached.

No IDL715 listed on Partfinder though. 😕

Just fitted a new module on this c/w this device – the old one had a no heat fault.Theres a stat at the bottom as well under the heater is this just a cut out? Just trying to add to my knowledge which is rather meagre on dishwashers.
