Customer phoned to report lights 1+2 flashing, drain timeout.
Methinks pump blockage, 20 minutes..simples. :rolls:
Machine was full of water, switched to reset and could hear a motor that sounded to be running.
Baled it out and whipped the drain pump out. No sign of any obstruction, pump looks sound and was electrically fine.
Refitted and set to wash, the same ‘motor noise’ started and then the machine proceeded to fill, strangely the motor noise was still there during filling. After a minute or so it gave a slight hiccup and then started to wash, a good flow of water coming out of the arms.
Set it to reset and the same motor noise kicked in but it would not drain. ❓
Lowered pipe to floor and it flowed out at full bore.
Removed pump after baling out again and tried a new pump with exactly the same result. I left it running on reset with no water in it and it kept running with the same motor noise for ages. Switched it off, tipped it over and felt the pumps. The circulation pump was hot and the drain pump stone cold.
I’m not sure if this is feasible but it appears to me that when the drain pump should be running the main circulation pump is running instead but if it is it must be running in reverse. 😕
Has anyone come across anything like this, I’m guessing a control PCB fault, pressure switch operation seems fine and wiring looks OK.
Sadly due to cost/age I will not get to change the PCB to find out. 😥
