ParticipantI have an indesit d41 – about 13 months so just out of warranty.
We went away for a week, and came back to it having one or more problems. To run you through what happens on the number 5 short cycle…..
– starts cycle
– almost immediately starts to make horrible noise. I have traced this to one of the components in the door which appears to have something to do with the washing tablet compartment or rince aid compartment. It just rattles about for a few minutes, then eventually seems to give up.
– the machine then starts to fill with water, but seems to take an absolute age. Water is coming it (can feel it on the inlet pipe), but seems to take much longer than it used to at this point.
– you can then hear the heater kick it (sounds like kettle boiling) again this seems to go on for an age. I have paused and opened up at this point, and water is warm.
– the machine then drains itself, and then the second light starts flashing. If anyone can shed any light on this at all I would be most grateful.
i am considering whether to pay the £75 for indesit to come and fix it, or to try and complian to Sainsburys (who I bought it off) and say it is faulty (although not sure how much luck I will have!)cheers

Just to clarify, this is an Indesit dishwasher, sadly Indesit took over Hotpoint which may have led to ServEngs confusion. 😉
However he is correct in one aspect, if you can get a warranty on it then go for it, at 13 months old it is already past its use by date. 😉
