ParticipantHi folks, just wondered if anyone can help. My D63(uk) will drain but will not fill, at first it was just a trickle coming in, but now it looks like the inlet valve isn’t opening. I replaced the pump about 8 months ago, and it will drain if I fill it manualy. How can i test to find out what the problem is? Could it just be the valve or the controller, do you guys sell either here?
TIA, Dave. 😕

You’ll need to test the valve for continuity (with the power off :zap:) to check it but it sounds more of a restriction as it slowed from a trickle to now stopping.
Is the fill hose kinked or the tap faulty ?
The valve is here should it prove to be the culprit:

If you’re unsure, check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

Might find the base is flooded, normally caused by a leaking wash pump. Would need a new wash pump complete if this is the case. 😥

Thanks guys, I’ve ordered a valve. The base isn’t flooded and the pump still works so I’ll let you know how it goes.

🙁 Hi again everyone, disgusting I know, but after starting my own business I’ve only just got round to fitting the valve!
Anyway it’s made no difference the thing still won’t fill, I’ve tested the level switch in the base pan and it’s fine, when lifted it goes into wash mode so could it be the controller?
Does anyone know of a pin check on the controller in the fill position, and is there a replacement? If so how much are they as I’ve come this far…….TIA guys.

That’s the flood protection switch and you are activating the drain pump by lifting it but please don’t as working on live appliances is extremely dangerous.
I doubt the timer has failed to be honest (but possible), your email asking for a price I’ll answer here as I’m replying anyway 😉 it’s £43 odd inc.
I would suggest an engineer though to be honest before you spend money on spares that may not solve the problem 🙂
