We have an Indesit D63 Dishwasher that had developed a fault,
When put though a cycle the machine empties itself, fills wif water, but then when it tries to pump the water into the machine (through the spinners) the pump runs for a second then stops, you can see the water trying to be pumped up the machine, but the pump keeps stopping.
It is likely the main Circulating Pump has got a blockage and maybe jamming as a result (i.e Piece of glass stuck in it?) It is worthwhile getting someone to check it out for you. The worst senario would be a new Motor/Pump unit required (not expensive), but an engineer would need to check it out?
I dont think the pump is jammed because you can spin it freeley, and they is no indication of it being blocked, as i said before the pump actually turns for a couple of seconds and you can see the water rise, although the pump does get very hot.
