Indesit DE43 dishwasher error code A02

I have exactly the same problem as Stantom has had: the dishwasher will go so far in any cycle then flash up A02 and stop. On opening the door the machine is empty of water but full of steam. I appreciate the problem is probably the combined heater/thermistor unit but can anyone tell me how to locate and replace this part?

Think this one through again – if you have steam, you must have heat! If the heater comes on without water, it must think it is full, so you have a problem with the water level control system – level switch jammed in full postion through mechanical failure or blockage in the air pressure system perhaps.

Power off if investigating.

Thanks for that. So if it is the water level switch or a blockage in the air pressure system, how do I get at them, are any of the parts involved replaceable and if so, how much might they cost? (I am up to speed in taking laser printers, keyboards and clocks mechanical and quartz driven apart, but not so far dishwashers!!!)
