    Hi,

I have an Indesit DG6145 dishwasher that I have kept going for many years using a variety of spares (a bit like the 20 year old broom sketch)

A problem has arisen where the programmer knob now stops at a couple points during the cycle and has to be turned manually past those points.

Originally I thought damaged gears, something slipping, etc but there is also an issue that it doesn’t seem to get up to temperature and nothing is being cleaned.

Water is moving around and draining ok.

I am wondering if there is a thermostat that has got to get up to temp before moving the programmer further through its cycle.

I did think the element may gave gone, but there is some heat, just not much.

Any advice for what this could be?

    Thanks

If appliance is not getting hot the timer will stop at that point.
You need to check continuity of the heater approx 38 Ohms.
