Indesit DI 620 – Integrated Dishwasher Problems

Help – all our washes from our Indesit DI 620 are making everything a little cloudy and covered in salt residue!

Its washing because things are clean but you can see salt on glasses and lines all over the cutlery and when you lick a glass or fork you can taste the salt.

To give some background, it was recently running low so we filled up using our usual brand (Finish) – we did slightly overfill but have done this before and after 1 or 2 empty washes it clears.

I know sometimes cloudy items can mean Rinse Aid but thats full so its not that.

Is it not heating up enough maybe and disolving the salt? Or does it sound like its in need of repair? Its about 3 years old. Wasn’t mega expensive and has given us no other problems.

Any ideas?

It’s possible that the solenoid for the softener unit has jammed open and is simply allowing the solution to run through into the machine. Side panels off to observe.
