ParticipantHi, first post but hope someone can assist. Our Indesit di450uk.c dishwasher is no longer functioning correctly. Upon starting a cycle it will flash error code 3 on led panel and the pump constantly drains out water. I have already replaced the inlet solenoid valve, metering panel and pressure switch without success. I have attempted to troubleshoot by testing the switches/solenoids but all appears ok. Also have drained out all the water by tipping forward. The error code according to the manual is a water load valve fault. Can anybody shed any light on this as I have seen posts with similar problems but no definitive solution. Many thanks in advance!

There is a definitive solution to this problem, it involves a trip to your favoured appliance retailer. 😉
This is a Chinese made machine of dubious quality TBH. 😥
When you say error code 3 do you mean that the third light is flashing?
Also when you say you drained out the water do you mean from inside the tub ( no need to do that unless the machine won’t empty ) or was the water in the base under the inner tub?

hi, thanks for the reply. The dishwasher continuously pumps out water which is coming in from the inlet, and then the led panel will jump to a flashing led 3 after a few seconds. I now would tend to agree with your opinion of the chinese models as this dishwasher has hardly been used. Unfortunately they are still retailing at around £300 mark so was hoping for a cheap repair. There was 1 observation made, when the lead was pulled out of the metering panel (clear plastic panel on the left side), the dishwasher starts to fill as normal but wont stop until flooded. However this was replaced and the same fault exists, any suggestions appreciated.

You appear to have covered/changed all the obvious bits, the electronics are a known weak point on Indesit products across the board though. 🙁

Hi. again thanks for the reply. I will try and continue to troubleshoot, may look to get the lcd panel replaced as cant see any other PCBs with the chassis. I am wondering if there is a float switch was is triggering the alarm, as they seem pretty basic parts wise. Otherwise I will have to admit defeat and be £300 lighter.

There is a float switch in the base, that is why I asked where the water you tipped out had come from.
If the machine leaks the float rises, switches on the pump and flashes an error code which is usually light No:2 for flooded base. There is only one pcb in these machines, sadly the Chinese one is more expensive than the Italian made one, around £76.00.
