Indesit DI450 Slimline – Salt light blinking and not working

Hi Folks,

I have a very annoying problem with my Indesit Dishwasher. After reading some forums about how crappy indesit is, blah blah, I can’t find the solution.

Initially my dishwasher salt light was blinking green. In the past two weeks is blinking red and none of five programs working and always when I put any program back to the program number 2 and stay blinking and making some noise.

I filled the salt deposit with dishwasher salt to the maximun capacity but the salt light never stops.

I did read in another forum related to in some cases is a good idea empty the salt deposit if there’s some blockage but I can’t find a good way to unscrew the salt deposit because probably I need a big plumbing tool.

Someone have any light ?

I also haven’t got a specific answer to your query, although it does sound as if the computer is faulty.

Do not be tempted to touch the salt/regeneration tank – it is not relevant to this problem.
