ParticipantHi there, can anyone help me ?
I went to empty my dishwasher earlier to find that it had stopped working mid-cycle, also it was full of bubbles and quite a lot of water in the bottom, ive checked the filter and cleaned it, but it wasnt really dirty to begin with, and i also managed to get rid of all the water apart from a tiny bit in the drain thing… lights 2 and 4 are flashing , i cant really afford to get any one out to repair it at the moment so i thought id see if any 1 can advise me what might be wrong. Thanks,
loops 🙂

Participantunfortuntaely, lights 2 & 4 point to a heater element fault
however, the pcbs on these machines are notoriously unreliable
yet the bit about many bubbles might be a pointer
one thing to try before calling an engineer is to try resetting the anti flood
pull out the dishwasher, and tilt it to 45 degrees to the side, and see if any water comes out, wait 30 seconds, then stand the dishwasher up and try again, it could just be over soaped
hope this helps

Well to my surprise i turned the dishwasher on and the lights were no longer flashing, so i tried it and it worked, and has continued to work since…

A quick way to get rid of any bubbles / over foaming in your appliance is to put a bar of soap in the water and it will neturalise the bubbles just like in the bath. 😀
