ParticipantCan anybody tell me how to reset (or re-initialise) the bit 100 card?
I had a heater fault which I isolated to the bit 100 card. Just fitted the new one (promptly supplied by uk whitegoods :). It failed to initialise 🙁
At the reset cycle part of the initialisation procedure the LED’s wouldn’t go off and there were no beeps. I tried the integrated (which mine is) and the freestanding procedure to no avail. In desperation I let the cycle go all the way through rather than stopping it for the reset. It seemed to do a normal cycle – filling, washing (inc. heating – I’m monitoring the heater relay) emptying. 2 and 3 where on when it started (as indicated in the init procedure), when it stopped 4 was flashing.
It wouldn’t start again. Even after a long off period 4 still flashing.
I’ve done lots of fidling since, and I can occassionally get it to do what seems to be a farely normal cycle, but then won’t go again with out more fiddling. By fiddling I mean on/off, pressing/holding P, pressing/holding button on back of bit 100 (anybody know what that button is supposed to do ?).I suspect the bit 100 is locked in the wrong state – hence the original question.
Thanks in advance.

4th light flashing is a heater time out fault, are you 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that the element is OK and is working? The boards will not initialise if the original fault is still on the machine.
Could be a loose NTC, if the NTC is not in its housing and not correctly sensing any temp rise after 40 minutes it will abort and flash light 4.

Thanks for the help.
It’s not only heating, it’s controlling. The heater relay is turning on and off during the cycle and it’s getting hot. I’m sure the problem is the bit 100. Remember, it never initialised properly and I can’t select a program. It’s only with fiddling that I can get it to do anythings at all. The last time I managed to get it to do anything, it started on LED 3, switched to LED 4 during the cycle and finished on 4 flashing, but it doesn’t do the same thing twice.
PS this is the third bit 100, the first was replaced while it was under warranty
