ParticipantNever heard of this place before and a quick flick through the forums and this place looks great. 😀
I brought this new approx 3-4 years ago and it has been working fine. Just recently it has been playing up.
It will not take the tablet, the cycle runs through fine once finished and left to cool off / dry. You open the door and the tablet door open and drops out a half soggy tablet 🙁
The wash is mostly clean but not fully as it been washed with water. I have tried 2-3 different tablets with the same results.
Any ideas ?

Water circulation problem I guess? Clearly the dispenser opens when it should but there’s not enough water slooshing about inside to disolve the tablet.
Check all filters, clean all the holes in the spray arms. Set the machine on a ‘Pre-soak’ cycle and after 2 or 3 minutes (maximum time), open the door to see how much water is lying in the tub?

Thanks for the quick response
I tried the soak option and after 2 mins the water level was JUST and i mean JUST below the top of the Salt screw on lid.
EDITI have also used a small steam cleaner to jet all the Spray Jets and jetted the tablet door hatch.
I will try a load and see what happends

🙁
Well cycle has just finished. I opened the main door, the tablet door opened and a soggy tablet dropped out.
Is the tablet door supposed to open during the cycle?

Yes during any of the wash cycles not the pre rinse.
When it has filled and you hear the wash start, if you open the door quickly, do you get a spray out of the cavity and can the spray arms be seen to slow down and stop??

I have taken the spray arms off and they were / are clear, so I washed then out anyway with water and steam.
The tablet door on my machine opens when I open the main door after the cycle has finished and thats when the tablet drops out, so it could be my tablet door release is not working fully.
The catch releases but the door door does not open fully….hmmm
I put it on another soak wash to look at the spray arms, they are moving but its dificult to tell how fast as they with half a second of the door opening they stop, but water is shooting out of the machine when i open it.August 13, 2006 at 3:43 pm #184941clyde

try raising the top basket to its highest setting – pull the basket out till it stops, theres 2 clips on the end of the runner the basket will then come out and you can refit using the bottom set of wheels – this should help the dispenser open slightly more 😉

Well my basket is on its top setting, but I have an inquizative / logical brain think it comes from my back ground from a fully qualified machanical engineer and a IT Pro.
I started looking at the interior and the shape of the basket and spotted the shape of the baskets matches the shape of the tablet door. My wife had fitted one of those Finish keep your dishwasher smelling nice things and it was hanging on the inlet / clearance where the tablet door supsed to open into.
So using the info from gegsy about the door opening during the cycle, i belive that smelly thing was stopping the door (seems logic to me).
So anyway, filled the machine up stuck in a tablet MOVED the smelly thing and now its wait and see…..fingers crossed 😉
