indesit dif 16 microfilter removal

thanks for the information ive read so far.
my dishwasher is flashing error lights 1+3. ive looked in the side and im assuming i can see the microfilter, it looks yellow. first question: is that the microfilter?
second question: how do i get the bugger out? (had the vacuum pumpy case thing off and unscrewed salt tray magigger but it wont drop down)

i know the error could mean a lot of different things but just crossing my fingers cleaning it will solve the problem cheaply.
