ParticipantHi,
Hope someone can help, I have an Indesit D63 dishwasher, it has been fine and used everyday, however it now will not fill. I put it onto Program 1 and you can hear what I beleive is the pump start, however no water is coming out, it doesnt matter which programme I set it too, the water will not start.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Flood protection activated, no doubt. Pull the plug, towels down, gently lean the machine back to drain undertray and reset float switch. Then…….. find the leak.

Hi
Thanks, I did what you said and leaned the machine back, there was a small amount of water, possibly a cup full ? is this normal, I tried putting the machine back on but still no water, I could hear a gurgling sound ; ) which I think was the waste. Would the trip? reset itself if the water was drained out as I did when leaning the machine back, if so the machine is still not refilling, should I do any further tests etc.
How difficult is it to access the parts required, I have unplugged the machine and see from the top there is a lot of packing and no access, however I imagine the side and back panels come off to allow access, or is this best accomplished by turning it on its side and accessing from underneath ?
What part would you beleive to be in need of replacing ?
Thanks for your advice

Just went back to the machine to have a look at the panels and access, switched it back on and hey preto it works? therefore you are right and I thank you very much for your advice.
Now the difficult bit of what to look for apart from something possibly with water around it? but the main quation is how easy is it to take the machine apart to access the interior componenets? any help appreciated, although I think it really is trial and error.

To Penguin45 – Thank you, I had this exact same problem with our Indesit D63, and you have saved me a fortune in not having to call out a ‘man-to-look-at-it’. So many, many thanks for that, and all the best. 😀
