Has anybody had trouble escaping from the test program when fitting a new board? Went to this diashwasher with a no heat problem. Circuit and element tested out OK, so I fitted a new board. Switched on and machine went into test program. Tried to reset by holding down the program button light 2 and 3 stayed on and would not reset as per the enclosed instruction leaflet. Tried switching on and resetting no way would it reset. Fitted another board, swithced on lights 2 and 3 came on and still would not reset. Both times I let the test program run, no problem, and the heater worked. I then refitted the original board to check the machine was OK. Program started OK and would reset. Any comments would be appreciated.

FITTING NEW 100 BIT CONTROL CARDS
When a 100 bit control card is first fitted, it may go straight into a factory test cycle.
To eliminate the test cycle: –
    • Switch On the machine and with the door closed.
    • Wait for the test cycle to start up (2 LEDs will start to flash).
    • Switch Off the machine with the door still closed and wait for 15 seconds.
    • Switch On the machine.
    • Reset the test cycle by turning the selector knob to reset and leave for 5 seconds. Or press & hold P button until you hear three beeps.

NOTE: – All actions are to be carried out quickly and the 15 seconds must be exact.
    • If the machine has a low resistance to Earth the timer card may become confused and LEDs may
not display and the machine may not start.
    • If a new timer card has been fitted and will not come off the test cycle, check: –
    1. The correct card has been fitted. The version is stamped on the label.
    2. Check for low resistance to Earth. Test the wash pump and heater from their terminals.
    3. Check that the 2 flying leads on the module have not been crossed.
