I’ve a customer with an Indesit IDL530 Dishwasher where the inlet valve doesn’t shut off fully. Meanwhile he shuts off the stopcock after each wash so no great panic.

Looking on Partfinder it looks like a normal 90 degree single valve? 😕 Therefore my question is, would a common or garden single valve fit (2 screw metal bracket fixing type) or is it a special plastic snaplock type fitting thingy I wonder? 🙂

    Hi Martin!
Yes a standard 90 degree valve will fit. The ‘snaplock’ pegs you mention are exactly the same dimension as the holes of a normal valve. Just take a couple of screws to fit it.
BUT….. in this case, on an Indesit, the valve is slid downwards into a square hole – so just remove and discard the mounting plate! 😉

Well the Partfinder illustration of this valve was completely wrong. Got it easily sorted but it turned out to be a conventional 180 degree valve without the metal bracket fixing and it just simply slots into the back panel….easy! 😀
