Indesit dryer model IS70C

I have a 15 month old model that has insufficient torque from the motor to start the drum rotating. It only starts with a hand push and will not restart upon the reverse cycle unless assisted by hand.

Consequently it begins to overheat. A new heater element has been fitted but this will probably fail if the motor is left unattended.

Any suggestions to correcting this problem please ?

It sounds as if the capacitor has failed, you can get one here:
