    Hi folks, hello,my first post.

Can anyone help me with the Indesit DSG 051 – won’t drain!
I’m a retired engineer so would be able to attemt self fix but some clues would be helpfull. Any schematics or error codes resetting would be helpfull.

    Many thanks.

No such model number recognised by the official Partfinder software?

Is this a UK sourced model?

Checking I see that you may well be in Spain, so none of the tech info we have will be of any use.

The drain pump on all Indesit machines if recent vintage is prone to blocking but is easily accessible from underneath. Lie the machine on it’s left hand side looking from the front and remove the base.

Small pieces of glass, bone, wood, sweetcorn are all capable of jamming the small drain pump.

    OOPS!

My apologies, it should read – DFG 051.

I have in fact found the problem – it seems a drink can aluminium ring pull has found its way into the drain pump impeller!.

    Thanks for your quick response.

    Re: Indesit DFG 051

Only problem now is water leaks from the bottom when switched on. I originaly removed the four screws inside the machine that hold the filter unit but the seal looked ok?

    Erm…. I left a hose off! :clown:
In my defence though, the wife was talking to me at all times. 😳

    Thanks for all help.
