My indesit d/washer prewash green light flashes constantly when switched on and it does nothing else although it does sound like it is trying to do something..have cleared filter and there is no water inside..any ideas. Don’t want expense of engineer!!

Counting the LED’s from left to right, numerically which is the pre-wash ?

The base of the dishwasher has flooded in that case activating the flood protection. You could try leaning the dishwasher and see if any water runs out (towels handy ;)) once emptied it may run again.
There may well be an underlying leak causing this of course which needs investigating and resolving.
Power off if you decide to look further :zap: or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer should you need one 🙂
