ParticipantHi,

https://ibb.co/VxdjwyQYesterday i was using the oven and top left heating element made a kind of popping sound and then suddenly stopped working. The rest are working it’s just the left one can anyone help or advise on what this might be please?
Thanks

ParticipantIt’ll either be the element or more likely the switch for it that has failed.
I believe the switch will be this one – https://parts.indesit.co.uk/cooker-energy-regulator-j00618693/p?fromBOM=trueMarch 8, 2023 at 8:00 pm #486024Bhavick35

Hi Dave,
Sorry I should of mentioned it’s the oven hob that is faulty, its’ the front left one that isn’t working. It’s weird because it works on all the other temperature settings except number 3 and it tripped a fuse in my fuse box when it started to become faulty. Haven’t used it since. I’ve had a quick look on the indesit website and this replacement heating element is available for it, please see link below:

It looks like am going to have to try and fix this myself as i haven’t really got the money to pay the call out charge for someone at indesit to come and have a look at it. If anyone has any experience of replacing one of these is it difficult to do for a newbie?
Thanks

Thanks

Moderatoras long as the ring lights up fully on full power its got to be the switch
if you strip it you will find faulty contacts
