ParticipantHi all,
I’ve searched the forums and seen a few references to the F01 error on the Evolution 1600, but no one has yet provided a definitive answer for the F02 error.
My machine at home is playing up and almost never finishes any cycle any more. There does not seem to be a consistent point at which the error is generated, eg. as soon as the spin cycle starts, and so I am totally stumped.
I have tried rebooting the machine, unplugging all of the PCBs and cleaning their contacts and also verified that there is nothing stuck in any of the pumps, but the problem persists.
I am hoping that someone out there will be able to shed some light as to where the problem lies so that I can buy the replacement part and get this sorted. I have a very large family so I cannot be without the machine for long!
Any and all help appreciated. Thanks!

Oh yeah. And to make matters worse, the whole unit seems to leap up and down much more than usual during the spin cycle…

Its a duff motor you are looking at or at the very least OR the magnetic coil at the end of the motor has become faulty or detached 🙁

ParticipantOh pants…. :O
If it is still under warranty, do I just have to pay a call-out fee or will I be liable for the part costs too?
(I take it this not just the carbon brushes then…)

That Model is an evolution machine and should be covered under the free 5 year parts g/tee It will be £89.98 all in if you call Indesit regardless of parts reqiured.

So that’s what the F-02 code means?

Yep, but if something is leaking into the motor, the Indesit guy will fix that too.

Thanks a lot. I just sent an e-mail to Indesit. I’m not sure whether I’ll let them fix it though, I think I’m out of warranty 🙁
For ~ €195 I’d better get a new machine I guess…

Hi – I also have an Indesit WE16S and have the F02 error, stopping part way through a cycle and just taking in water, it also moves quite a lot now on a spin and makes a whining noise…. Also get F03 on spin cycle..
I’m wondering if the 5 year parts warranty is worth anything really and need some advise…..
I can either pay £89.98 single callout charge and all parts are free, but the work is only guaranteed for 14 days, if I get any further probs after this it’s another £89.98 😯
Or I can pay £149.98 for a callout and to also have 12 months warranty, so in effect a 1 off payment for a years peace of mind….
In my mind I may as well scrap the machine and pay £200 odd quid on a brand spanking new machine without ploughing good money into a machine which after reading up on the net seens un-reliable.
What do you guys think?

I’ll re arrange that, get a better new machine, something that you will not get for £195.00 😥
just work out how much these cheapo, disposable machines are costing you in the long term.
Same answer to your last question, snb. 🙂

What do you suggest is a better machine on the same sort of level in cost / functionality of the Indesit WE16S???
