So we had this machine for a couple of years now and recently, once the cycle has finished, the clothes remain wet and it doesn’t seem to be drying them properly. I’ve also noticed that the water doesn’t seem to be getting warmed up but that might be unrelated

Any advice would be appreciated.
TIA

ok can be a few things so try this

with no clothes in it

select rinse and spin

watch when it pumps out, you should see the water dropping, slowly at first then quicker
it should then spin

if it works ok could just be an out of balance load

you could check the filter first as a starter

electrofix I tried the rinse and spin and that worked fine, water was being pumped out nicely. The filter I had cleaned even before I came here and I also checked the propeller was moving freely. I did open up the rubber drain piping from underneath to check for any obstructions which I didn’t find any of but I noticed a plastic ball in there near where the drain pipe connects to the drum. I’ve read that this is by design but I feel I should remove it? Also, heating the water is not happening. Is that a simple fix by replacing the water heater?

Thanks again for the advice

i would check to see if the heating element is faulty with a meter

if its open circuit its likely changing it will cure the problem

If your Indesit washer isn’t spinning properly, check for unbalanced loads or clogged filters. Sometimes, a blocked drain pump or a worn-out belt can also cause this issue. Running a diagnostic cycle might give more insights into what’s wrong.
