Hi, I have an Indesit FIE56 K.B.GB multi function oven (I know they’re rubbish but I got it free with the house!)

I am experiencing a problem with the oven heating ………… it doesn’t properly. If I turn the oven on and set the temperature it doesn’t heat up. I experimented with the grill which does heat up. I allowed the grill to heat up the oven cavity then turned the switch back to the oven, set the temperature and the oven then stayed at the correct temperature set on the thermostat. When allowed to cool/switched off the oven displays the same behaviour when switched back on.

Can anyone offer any ideas. My thoughts (total novice) were
    1. Element problem. Not sure as I can get the oven to become hot eventually
    2. Faulty selector switch
    3. Faulty Thermostat

Thanks in advance for any advice

Thanks for looking. Replacing the selector switch fixed it.
