Bought an Indesit UFAN300 upright freezer, serial no. 602090005 a few months ago & its driving me mad 😡 The two top flap opening sections are fine as are the third, fourth & bottom sections but its the third storage section thats giving me problems. When I pull it out its as if the drawer is not wide enough for the runners at the sides & it ‘drops’ making it then impossible to push back unless it is physically lifted & pushed back into place. I rang the number I have for enquiries & got nowhere. They suggested I had too much in the drawer & the weight was making it drop but this is nonsense as even if its empty it still happens. Has anyone heard about such problems with this model? I have been told I can book a service call & although I will probably have to resort to this, I hate the fact that I only have one day off work a week & will have to wait in all day for the engineer to arrive. This said, I suppose it might be the only solution but just thought I’d post on here first. thanks for any replies 🙂

Yeah, you’ll need to have someone from Hotpoint/Indesit have a look at it to confirm this but I suspect that the inner liner isn’t right. If that that’s the case they’ll have to give you a new one.

    Re: Indesit freezer problem

thank you Kwatt for your reply & apologies for not thanking you before. I rang the Indesit people & they sent one of their engineers out. He suggested that a new drawer should be ordered & I’m waiting for it to be delivered any day now. He looked at the inside of the freezer & the drawer section in question but there is no damage to either. I did ask him ‘what happens if the new drawer arrives & I get the same problem’ & his answer was ‘well…there’s nothing more we can do’!! Obviously if this happens then I will contact their customer service line as I am not entirely satisfied that I have to physically lift the drawer back into its space – even he had a job doing it but I just wonder if they do have to give me a new one? The freezer is still under warranty having bought it only a few months ago.
