Initial problem- Iced up freezer warm fridge. Defrosted freezer and fridge cooled down.
Then fridge back wall started freezing up without any apparent defrost. Changed thermostat, problem continued. Found heat exchange grill? with fan, next to compressor completely blocked with fluff, cleaned that fridge wall now NOT freezing up but have not heard compressor cut off for defrost cycle.
Unit is at least 10years old, is it time for a new one
