KeymasterI have an Indesit FV 10K IX GB oven serial number 11115 0435 48250 230000. Unfortunately on cleaning it the inner glass panel gave way. Does anyone know where to:
1. Order a new part from OR
2. But any heat resistant sealant/adhesive in order to repair it. (i.e. Dow Corning RTV 736)Any help would be very much appreciated.
Yours in anticipation,
Gregg

Gregg,
You will need a replacement ‘Door Inner Panel’ which includes the inner door glass (Part noC00090770)at around £25 ‘ish plus P & P.
You can order the part via this site if you wish?
Just let us know 🙂
…and sorry but you cannot glue broken heat resistant glass together 🙁

Martin,
Thanks for your prompt reply 🙂A quick question…. does the part you’ve suggested include the metal frame and the ‘glued’ glass panel to it? Or is it the glass panel only? The problem I have is the glass panel not breaking but coming away from the metal ‘housing’.
Thanks again and best regards,

ParticipantHi Gregg,
Martin will be in bed by now (these old un’s…..). Its the complete inner panel – metal and glass, and at the price is actually good value for money. There are proprietary sealants around which claim to be able refit the glass to the panel, BUT you must get the entire bonding surface ABSOLUTELY grease free. This is not easy, especially seeing as you can’t get Arklone these days.Best advice is to buy the panel and don’t put the turkey on the door to baste it!

I don’t hold much hope of sealing something grease free on the inside of an oven, so I’ve ordered the part!! 🙂
I’ve used the site’s help desk to order, hope this is correct.
BTW great site and forum.
Best regards,Gregg
