Dishwasher is 18 months old. Was using it but did not realise sink trap was blocked. I cleared the blockage but now dishwasher is not working. When turned on it powers up fine but the washing indicator and low salt indicator lights both flash. Nothing then happens. If I press the on/off/reset button it turns the machine off but after about 3 seconds it turns itself back on again. Any thoughts as to what is causing this? I have taken off the inlet hose at the supply end and it was clear and have also cleaned the filters inside but no joy. Many thanks, Dave

That sounds like a flooded base.

Thank you for your quick reply. Would you know how I go about sorting it or is it best to call an engineer out?

That depends on your capabilities, something I know nothing about. If you unplug the machine and tilt it to one side then you should see water running out from underneath. The cause of the leak needs isolating and fixing.

Just to let you know that I tilted the dishwasher back abt 45 degrees and it now works fine! ps some water did go on the floor so have an old towel ready just in case. Many thanks, Dave

If it fails again then you really need to find out where the leak is coming from.
