Indesit IDC 75 tumble dryer

We bought a new Indesit IDC 75 Condenser tumble dryer last weekend and I am wondering if anyone can please help me with a query I have about it.
It does have reverse tumble action. However I have noticed that it tumbles in one direction for about 5 minutes but when it reverses it only tumbles in the other direction for about 7 seconds before reversing again. I am wondering if it should in fact tumble for the same amount of time in each direction.
My husband says that is how it is programmed to work. I am inclined to agree with him seeing as the reverse tumble action is not erratic but always a 5 minute tumble followed by a 7 second tumble…however I should be most grateful if anyone could confirm that that the rather long tumble followed by the very short tumble after reversing is indeed correct, and that the machine is not faulty!
As far as I can remember our old tumble dryer, a Hotpoint Aquarius TL21, seemed to tumble for about the same amount of time in each direction.

That is the correct sequence , with only short reverse tumble.
