this looks like an old one so they are not too bad

remove fan cover and front fan

remove the bolt on the pulley nearest to you
loosen the other bolt just enough so you can unhook the pulley and flip it over
put belt over the pulley and then use yje pulley and a lever to tention it and hook it into place, spin drum by hand to centralise
nip up farthest screw and put the nearest one back in

If you have trouble order the belt or the fitting order this 1 will fit easier for you if you fit the original pay note to the position of belt

dont normally have to pre stretch belt and never had one snap putting them on

would have thought it would be very difficult to snap them

Thanks dave and kaibart for your replay the belt might have been damaged from the broken jockey pulley fasetester

Best way to get the belt over the pulley is not to slack it off or remove one of the bolts. Just get any washing machine belt, put it around back of dryer belt and pull it over pulley. Easy job done, and no chance of braking pulley.
