Indesit IDD6340 Electric Double Oven – upper oven fan stays on constantly.

The oven is around 18 months old. Whilst using the grille (the upper oven), the circuit breaker popped! Once reset, the grille operated normally with the exception that the upper oven fan doesn’t switch off – it runs constantly.

Advice appreciated.

something has gone pop and welded the stat or contact somewhere

Thanks for your help. The thermostat is working correctly…..in terms of temperature at least. Just the fan on constantly.

there is more than on contact on the switch that turns the oven on
one of those contacts may control the fan along with a thermostat to keep the fan running after cooking
