Hi all
First time using this site and like everyone else I’m after some advice please! We have an Indesit IDF125 dishwasher and the door catch failed on it recently. I took the door apart but removed both the top control panel and the large metal panel as well, not realising I could have just taken the top one off. I found the spring in the latch mechanism had snapped. Thinking I was being clever, I just replaced the spring rather than the whole latch assembly. The door now doesn’t seem to click home fully but the appliance does still switch on and goes through a complete cycle. When the door is closed, it does look like the gap at the top of the door is slightly wider than the gap at the bottom. It is almost as though something is preventing the door closing completely but I have checked and there are no obstructions. The other problem we now have is a leak from the bottom of the door when the machine is going through a cycle. I have obviously not put something back correctly but for the life of me I cannot see what. I made sure every screw went back in (and tightly) but water is obviously escaping from somewhere. Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Many thanks in anticipation. Mark.
