any appliance that trip the rcd has to have an earth problem
could be a few things including the heater and leaks

Cheers Dave I have checked for leaks and totally dry Bit of a hoo haa to get to the bits but where is the heater
Do you think it could be the recycle pump thing
Tried it again an it fills works for 10sec then trips the mains
Thinking of now getting a new one ?????December 12, 2013 at 11:13 am #406072iadom

Dear me, earth leaks are electrical faults, there is no ‘recycle pump’, and if it is a bit of a hoo haa then I respectfully suggest you let an expert have a look at it.

Srry to up set you iadom but the machine has a recirculation pump on it that could cause the problem so I have read And sorry if you did not find my humour to your taste still Christmas soon never know what Santa will bring you Over and out

At 16months old your Indesit could well have problems with either the recirculating pump or the heater or both. Access isn’t too bad with the side panels and base removed to get to all. However you will need an insulation tester ideally in order to locate the earth leak.
The other option: You’ve still got time to write a note to Santa asking for a new Bosch dishwasher OR a 500 vDC Insulation Tester. 💡

Don’t believe in Father Christmas, don’t believe this machine has a RE circulation pump either. It does however have a main circulation pump . 😉 both the heater and the MAIN CIRCULATION PUMP are very prone to failure on these. 😥

Circulate or recirculate all the same really. It just recirculates/circulates the water round and round and round, over and over. I knew what the OP meant much if he had called it a ‘pump thingy’ or a ‘motorised pumping whatsitsname’. You are getting grumpy in your old age Jim, lighten up mate Crimbo (sorry – Christmas) is just around the corner. 😀
